Small things :)
It is so fun to sew small things such as shoes, tote bags, socks and so on.
I made some for the new dolls.
Here are tote bags. I used bright cute prints for the inside of these bags.
Dolls carrying one of the bags.
I also made some shoes out of felt.
They fitted perfectly.

new dolls!
I am now thinking of making new dolls for children who want quiet friends at their sides-if there are any.
And I made two dolls last week.
This time I slightly improved the dolls which I made for my daughters years ago; made their limbs a bit longer and have joint parts like elbows and knees so that they are easily changed their clothes.
I painted their faces with acrylic paint for cloth products.
And sewing their clothes is another challenging part for me because I am not usually doing dressmaking, and especially smaller dresses for dolls are hard to sew; however, it is fun to choose the fabrics, ribbons, and laces and put the finally finished dresses on them!
I hope you like them and I would be happy if I have your comments.
Thank you for watching!

I sewed their gathered smock blouses and tiny pants to go with them.
Another outfit-this time traditional doll dress.

my daughters' dollies
These are my two grownup daughters' dollies; well, they are almost 20years old and have been with my daughters and spent good and bad times together. They used to sleep them, and they went shopping and traveling with them.
They are old and worn for the dolls, but they surely look proud and happy to have precious memories with them.
Even now they are decorated on their owners shelves just as they used to be though it has been long since they stopped playing with them as they grew.
my first daughters doll
and she is my second girl's doll.
I sewed the bodies and drew their faces with acrylic paint. For eyes they chose their favorite color. For hair I used curly woolen doll hair.
And each doll has a painted heart on the left side of the body with the name and the description who it belongs to.
I made their dresses, socks, scarves and little bags, even doll-sized comforters for each of them so that they could play with them.
Thank you for watching!

Watercolor -Winchester Castle -
This is the watercolor I drew from the photo which I took while I was in the UK: The door of Winchester Castle Great Hall.
The title is 'Door to where?'
I really liked the old houses, churches, castles of the England including ruins. They are so harmonized with the plants around them that they almost look alive to me.
Some day I would like to travel Scotland, Ireland, and other European countries searching for the beautiful old little buildings.

my favorite thing
When my children were small, it was very hard to draw anything just as I am enjoying my time right now; well, although we all know the time with our kids is priceless and more precious than anything, we cannot have enough time to spend to ourselves; it is almost impossible to concentrate to any kind of thing with small children beside you, isn't it?!
Good times and bad times. It sometimes gave me a lot of frustration.
So, I used to do some patchwork quilting and many small crafts to satisfy my desire for creation while spending time together with my children.
You know, when they really needed me, of course I had no time to take up neither needles nor brushes at all, but I managed to keep my creation going on while they were having good time playing although it did not last long.
Here are some of my works I did when my daughters were small today.
This is one of my patchwork quilting which I made long long years ago.
The pattern is called crazy heart quilt, or something like that which I got when we lived in the U.S(we lived there three and a half years due to my husband' s transfer from Japan.)
It is old and colors are fading, but shines with full of fun memories with my daughters.
This is 'star of Bethlehem' tapestry, which I made by machine quilting.
To finish it, I added the decoration of lace around the star pattern.
This is miniature quilt, very Christmasy, isn't it? And it is small-about15x10cm.
I embroidered some small white beads as snow.
Stars, trees, and a small log cabin with fireplace on the snow. Triangles are flying wild geese.
It is fun to collage many kinds of cut cloths to make one big totally new thing-it is just like mixing colors. I really liked it.
